Re: Joyeuses Pâques
Зазвичай наступного дня після Великодня українці відзначають Обливаний понеділок
Today is Oblyvany Ponedilok (Wet Monday)
In Ukraine, water and fire have always had magical properties, protecting against evil spirits and bringing men health, strength, joy and prosperity. To mark the coming of spring, our ancestors ritually doused one another with water, an ancient custom linked to purification, cleanliness and strength. Later, this ancient tradition was gradually integrated into the cycle of Easter celebrations..
When girls and boys sprinkle each other with water, the summer rains will increase and crops will flourish, and they will be clean, healthy, strong. Young girls will marry their dream prince and young men will find their true love.
The new spring year also begins with Mother Nature and Mother Earth awakening from their deep winter sleep. Spring is greeted joyfully with dances, games and songs called hayivky/vesnianky.
Many families visit their departed relatives and pay their respects over their graves. Upon request, local priests hurry from grave to grave, say a brief prayer, bless the tombstone with holy water, and sing “Christ is Risen” three times. This tradition lasts the whole week, which is called “Svitly Tyzhden” (Radiant Week), and ends next Sunday “Providna Nedilya”.

Re: Joyeuses Pâques
En Pologne c'est aussi la tradition, le lundi de Pâques, les garçons arrosent d'eau les filles encore célibataires pour les inciter à se décider dans l'année !
Cette tradition s'appelle "Dingous"
